Born in Spain in 1881, Picasso was talented from a young age. His first word wasn't “mommy,” or “daddy,” it was pencil, just showing how incredibly ahead of his time he was. He quickly mastered traditional techniques before moving into more experimental territory. One of his most famous contributions to art is the development of Cubism, alongside artist Georges Braque. Picasso’s work evolved through many distinct periods. His Blue Period reflected themes of sadness and isolation, often painted in somber blue tones. This was followed by the Rose Period, which introduced warmer colors and more playful subjects. Later, his Cubist works redefined artistic form, while pieces like Guernica captured the horrors of war with powerful, abstract imagery. What made Picasso so remarkable was not just his talent, but his relentless creativity. He refused to settle into one style, constantly exploring new techniques, materials, and ideas. He worked across painting, sculpture, ceramics, and more.

Tortie cats are known for many things, but their coats obviously stand out. They're also known to be sassy, independent, feisty, and vocal. I'll never forget my first cat. She was a tortie named Cleo. She wasn't just adorable, she was really special in how she moved about the world. She never settled for something she couldn't claim.
